CNC Turning
Our CNC Turning Centres enable us to produce complex components with pinpoint accuracy and excellent repeatability. Using fully automated lathes, we can deliver high-quality parts quickly, whether you need a single prototype or a full production batch.
With multiple CNC lathes including Puma and Harrison Alpha machines, we’re able to handle a broad range of materials and geometries – from small precision parts to larger components with tight tolerances. Each machine is operated by skilled engineers who monitor every step of the process to ensure quality and consistency.
We specialise in serving sectors such as automotive, rail, construction, and general manufacturing across Birmingham and the wider Midlands. From bushings to brackets, we can help you reduce lead times while maintaining the highest engineering standards.
If you're unsure whether CNC turning is right for your part, just send us a sketch or CAD file – we’ll review your requirements and suggest the best machining method for the job.
CNC Milling
CNC milling is ideal for producing detailed shapes, cut-outs and features across flat or 3D surfaces. At Dartmouth Associates, our CNC Milling Centres feature advanced 3-axis and 4-axis capabilities, allowing us to machine everything from simple housings to complex forged components.
We operate a variety of vertical and horizontal milling machines, including models from Doosan, Mazak, Bridgeport and more. These systems are optimised for speed, accuracy and tool versatility – ideal for parts that require drilling, slotting, contouring or engraving.
Our Birmingham-based team works closely with each client to optimise setup and tooling, ensuring cost-effective results without compromising quality. Whether you need a one-off prototype or hundreds of identical parts, we’ll make sure it’s delivered on time and to spec.
Combined with CAD/CAM software and skilled in-house programmers, we’re able to reduce material waste and maximise efficiency – making us a trusted engineering partner for many local and national firms.
Conventional Machines
Not every project needs CNC automation – and for some, traditional machining is the perfect choice. Our conventional machines allow us to take on low-volume or one-off jobs where flexibility, craftsmanship and quick turnaround matter most.
We have a full suite of manually operated lathes, mills, borers and grinders to support custom requirements, repairs, or tricky materials that require a more hands-on approach. Our machinists have decades of experience and can adapt quickly to specialist jobs that modern CNCs may not suit.
This service is especially valuable for legacy components, R&D prototypes, and items where frequent adjustments are needed mid-production. We also carry out custom jigs, fixtures, and one-off tooling to support your in-house operations.
Based in Birmingham and serving the surrounding Midlands, our ability to blend traditional skills with modern technology means we can offer true flexibility – and a solution that’s right for your budget and brief.
